Before you buy anything today…

Hey friends,

I know your inbox is probably drowning in Cyber Monday emails, so I’m keeping this short and only sharing the things that are genuinely worth your time.

First — a quick reminder: only buy what you actually need. A sale is only a deal if it’s something you’ll truly use. Otherwise, it eats up your budget, your space, and eventually ends up in a landfill. We all work too hard for that.

Here’s the quick little gut-check I use before I buy anything today:

  • Would I buy this at full price?
  • Will I use it weekly or monthly — or will it collect dust?
  • Do I already own something that does the same job?
  • Is the return policy painless? (Some Cyber deals are final sale. Sneaky!)

And a quick PSA: not every “50% off!” is a real deal. A lot of sites raise prices in November. Amazon is especially guilty of this. I’ve been watching a couple of household gadgets since the summer — they’re always “on sale,” but never actually full price. This vacuum is one of them.

If you are shopping today, here are the roundups with deals I think are genuinely solid:

And if you’re already shopped out but still browsing for ideas:

If none of this applies today, honestly — good for you. Shut the laptop, enjoy your day, and let everyone else fight over the Lightning Deals.

Thanks for being here.

Hi there! I just shared a new review I’ve been working on....Quince. I’ve actually been ordering from them for the last couple of years, so this isn’t a first impression. I’ve worn a lot of these pieces on trips, at home, washed them more times than I can count… and I have some thoughts. 👉 Or read the full review on the blog Short version: some items have held up really well, and I still wear them all the time. A few didn’t live up to the hype, and I’d be a lot more selective with what I...

Hi there! This is a bit of a random mix today, but it’s basically what I’ve been looking at lately. On one end of the spectrum… I’ve been browsing MyTheresa again. Definitely not Amazon-level pricing, but if I’m going to spend more on something, I’d rather it be a piece I’ll actually wear for years. I’ve ordered from them a few times now, so if you’re curious what the experience is like (shipping, returns, customer service, all of that), I wrote a full review here:👉 MyTheresa review On the...
