A Few Helpful Things Before the Holiday Chaos Hits 🎁✈️

Hi friends,

Before the holiday madness really kicks in, I wanted to send over a few helpful things... plus some new stories you might’ve missed this week.

A Couple of Travel Habits That Save Me Every Holiday Season

If you’re flying soon, here’s one thing I swear by: screenshot your boarding pass and that little baggage tag sticker the second you get them. Airline apps always seem to glitch at the worst possible moment, but screenshots don’t. And that sticker? It’s the code they need if your suitcase decides to go sightseeing without you. Having it handy makes the whole process 100 times easier.

I also take a quick photo of my suitcase before checking it — especially if it’s a black one in a sea of black suitcases. Makes describing it to an agent so much faster.

Two more tiny things that save me constantly:
• I take a photo of where I parked at the airport (level, row sign, whatever’s nearby). After a long flight, the last thing I want is to wander around a garage wondering where my car went.
• When I check into a hotel, I snap a photo of my room number. I can NEVER remember my hotel room number. Those hallways all look the same, and I don’t trust my brain during travel mode.

None of these are glamorous, but they make travel smoother — especially this time of year.

Hi there! This is a bit of a random mix today, but it’s basically what I’ve been looking at lately. On one end of the spectrum… I’ve been browsing MyTheresa again. Definitely not Amazon-level pricing, but if I’m going to spend more on something, I’d rather it be a piece I’ll actually wear for years. I’ve ordered from them a few times now, so if you’re curious what the experience is like (shipping, returns, customer service, all of that), I wrote a full review here:👉 MyTheresa review On the...

Hi there! I know… It’s been a minute since my last newsletter. 😅 I just got back from a pretty wild trip to Rwanda, where I went gorilla trekking… and managed to make some of the biggest travel mistakes I’ve ever made. (EEK!) That said, it was still one of the most surreal, unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. I’ve started sharing everything on the blog and YouTube—what went right and what I wish I knew before going. 👉 Read about Rwanda / gorilla trekking👉 Watch the video But in the...
